Why?

I knit to relax. To create something out of very little. Historians study artifacts to discover the past. When I knit, I create an artifact of my own. I can look back on a piece I've finished and remember when I worked on it.

I have been knitting since 2000, crocheting since 1994. Just recently I have begun to experiment with weaving, dyeing & spinning (in that order).
The top is sock yarn dyed in kool-aid. It has since been knit into Jaywalkers.
On the bottom, Knitpicks lace- and sock-weight dyed in indigo & cochineal. I am working on a pair of cable-rib socks from the indigo sock-weight yarn right now.
